Kaushiki Desikan (nee Chakrabarty) (Bengali: চক্রবর্তী; born 1980) is a renowned Indian female vocalist.

Early Life

Kaushiki is daughter of the renowed Indian classical singer Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and Chandana Chakraborty. She started learning Indian classical music at the academy of Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh at the early age of seven. Later she joined the ITC Sangeet Research Academy.Kaushiki’s vocal is marked by maturity far beyond her years, sound musical concepts and remarkable spontaneity. She is gifted with a melodious and flexible voice and has already participated in many major concerts including the Dover Lane Music Conference, the ITC Sangeet Sammelans in India, the Spring Festival of Music (California), Parampara Programme (Los Angeles) and others. She is married to Partha Desikan.

Kaushiki's academic career is also adorned with Star/Letter Marks in her school exams and First Class Honours in Philosophy in her graduation from the Calcutta University in 2002.
