Jenni Alpert

Jenni Alpert is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter. Alpert has independently released two albums and several live recordings. Originally from Los Angeles, Alpert arranges her own tours coast to coast and internationally with a grass roots style. Her most recent album scheduled to be released on iTunes. 'No Second Guesses' is produced by Julian Coryell, mixed by Niko Bolas, and mastered by George Massenburg. This recording features Jimmy Paxson (drummer, producer ("Untied'), Brett Simons (bass), and Karma Auger (percussion).

Jenni has also recorded with Russ Kunkel, Victor Krauss, Matt Rollings, and Dean Parks produced by Nathaniel Kunkel.

Her music has been featured on MTV's The Real World (Song: "With One Breath") [http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/realworld-season20/show_music.jhtml] and TLC's CSI Miami (Song: "Breakin' Down").

Early Life

Alpert was born in Los Angeles and began singing and playing the piano at the age of 3. A Graduate of UCLA's Ethnomusicology Department (Jazz Vocal), Jenni Alpert was one of the first vocalists to complete the four-year jazz studies program, headed by Kenny Burrell, which granted her the opportunity to study and perform with the likes of Herbie Hancock and Barbara Morrision. Since then, she has performed in 12 Countries independently (United States, Spain, England, Scotland, Holland, France, Germany, Italy, India, Nepal, Israel, Canada). Jenni's songwriting is reminiscent of artists Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell, Edie Brickell, Carol King, and Aimee Mann.
