George Everett Chalmers (

He represented York County, the City of Fredericton and thenFredericton South in theLegislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1963 to 1978 as a Progressive Conservative member.He was born in
Bathurst, New Brunswick , the son of George Wilson Chalmers and May Branch. Chalmers was educated at theUniversity of New Brunswick andMcGill University . In 1935, he married Eloise Roberts. Chalmers was a lieutenant in a battery unit duringWorld War II . He served on the city council for Fredericton from 1945 to 1949. Chalmers served in the province's Executive Council as a minister without portfolio.His daughter
