Abugach

Abugach

The Abugach, or to the Russians Abugachaevtsy, were a people in the general region of the Ural Mountains who are believed to have been of Samoyed ancestry. However the earliest actual knowledge of them in the 19th century identifies them as speaking a Turkic language. They latter were one of the ethnic groups that formed the Koibal sub-division of the Khakass.
