Hetty Johnston

Hetty Johnston is an Australian child abuse campaigner who runs a child protection organisation called Bravehearts. She has attracted media attention by voicing her opinions on a number of child protection issues involving high-profile members of the Australian public. These have included the artist Bill Henson, and the former Governor-General of Australia Peter Hollingworth.

Johnston has published a book detailing her beliefs called "In the Best Interests of the Child"

Politics

In 2004 Hetty Johnston unsuccessfully stood for a Queensland Senate seat in the federal election.
