Matt Fullerty

Matt Fullerty (born 1976 in Warrington, Cheshire) is a British novelist. He is the author of the unpublished novel "The Pride and the Sorrow", about the life of chessmaster Paul Morphy, set in New Orleans. He was educated at Manchester Grammar School, a British private independent school in the North West of England and Oxford University. He then studied creative writing at the University of East Anglia, and lives in Washington, DC.

The "Pride and the Sorrow" won the inaugural Bookhabit Unpublished Novel Competition in 2008.
