Kim Khan Zaki "Zig Zach" a.k.a. Zach (born September 4, 1982) is a professional Singaporean junior middleweight kickboxer and personal trainer [ [http://zig-zach.blogspot.com/ Zach's blog] ] . He is currently based in at [http://www.bxgfitness.com/ BXG Singapore] where he trains and teaches others Muay Thai. He is the Muay Thai Against Drugs Challenge Champion 2006 and was a participant in The Contender Asia competition.

Biography & career

Zach gained an interest in the sport after seeing fights in Thailand but was not able to train as there were no Muay Thai gyms in Singapore. When one did open he began training and later became interested in competing at an amateur level. When he was 18 he entered the Amateur World Tournament but dislocated his shoulder in his first fight [ [http://business.asiaone.com/Business/Office/Hot+Jobs/Story/A1Story20070907-24582.html AsiaOne] ] . After recovering from the injury, Zach trained for six months at the World Muay Thai Council before returning to Singapore.

The Contender Asia

Zach gained entrance to The Contender Asia after winning the WMC Superfights World Muay Thai Heavyweight Grand Prix in Singapore [ [http://contenderasia.com/index.php/content/view/14/80/lang,english/ The Contender Asia official website] ] . Zach injured his shoulder in one of the programs challenges and the injury was aggravated during his first fight, against Zidov Dominik

In the program finale in which John Wayne Parr fought Yodsaenklai Fairtex, some rematches were organised, including one between Zach and Zidov, ostensibly to allow them to fight each other at their full potential. The fight was ended in the fifth round by the ringside physician after Zidov's nose was broken by an elbow strike. There was some controversy over the decision as Zidov wanted to continue.
