Albania–Russia relations

AlbaniandashRussia relations are foreign relations between Albania and Russia. The establishment between both countries have happened on April 7,1924. Both countries have been allies in the Warsaw Pact. Albania has an embassy in Moscow, and Russia has an embassy in Tirana. Both countries are members of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the Council of Europe.

Today the two countries improve their relations at the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the Council of Europe. Since the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence, Russia has been on Serbia's side. Which made Russia reject its independence. Instead, Russia has recognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia. About 300 Albanians live in Russia. Mainly in Moscow. There is also a few Russians living in Albania. Albania's ambassador to Russia is Teodor Laço, and Russia's ambassador to Albania is Aleksandr Prishchepov.
