Albania andRussia . The establishment between both countries have happened onApril 7 ,1924 . Both countries have been allies in theWarsaw Pact . Albania has an embassy in Moscow, and Russia has an embassy in Tirana. Both countries are members of theOrganization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and theCouncil of Europe .Albania and the Soviet Union

Today the two countries improve their relations at the
Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and theCouncil of Europe . Since the2008 Kosovo declaration of independence , Russia has been onSerbia 's side. Which made Russia reject its independence. Instead, Russia has recognizedAbkhazia andSouth Ossetia . About 300 Albanians live in Russia. Mainly inMoscow . There is also a few Russians living in Albania. Albania's ambassador to Russia isTeodor Laço , and Russia's ambassador to Albania isAleksandr Prishchepov .ee also
