The 1998 Beach Soccer World Cup was the forth edition of the Beach Soccer World Championships. This year was the first time that 10 teams would compete for the cup. The tournament continued to take place in Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Organisation

This year the organisation had to be changed due to 10 teams taking part in the tournament. The teams were split into 2 groups of 5 teams, with 2 teams progressing to the semi-finals.
