Albert Elms

Albert Elms

Albert Elms (born 28 February 1920, Milton, Kent, England) is a British composer and arranger who has worked mainly on television and film.

Elms is best known for providing incidental music to ITC series such as "Man in a Suitcase", "The Champions" and "Ivanhoe". He also worked as music co-ordinator on "The Prisoner", whose soundtrack largely came from library music sources.

Although the series on which Elms did most work had memorable main title scores by others such as Ron Grainer and Tony Hatch, Elms provided cues which represent hundreds of hours of music. His contribution has recently been recognised with the release of his complete incidental music for "Man in a Suitcase" on CD.
