Audiophonic visual isolation

Audiophonic visual isolation is a technique used by speech and linguistics teachers to enhance verbal and listening skills, by isolating visual stimuli in the participant. AVI was developed in 2003 by Dr.Lex Coleman,at la Rochville University, France and the City University of New York, CUNY Graduate Center, according to the Speech-Linquistics Development Digest.

AVI has been adopted by several U.S.government agencies,including the
U.S. Department of Defense the State of Florida Department of Education. It is being utilized to impact on second language learners. It is now required of all English as Second Language students enrolled at the American University of Technology, Lebanon. AVI impact on ESL applications is the focus of research by the Ministries of Man Power and Education, Sultanate of Oman.
