"IB Magazine" is a student's e-magazine made by the students of BAU - Beirut Arab University [ Arts Section ] created on the internet . First published on facebook on its very first issue in 01 , june , 2008 . The magazine now rely on google picasa to publish its issue by its own link http://www.ibmagazine.tk

Published in Arabic Language the magazine combines a 50/50 mix of students life stories and celebritiy issues . Its editors say that the magazine is unique and one of a kind . " We are trying to push the entertainment industry in collage specially and in lebanon generally to a whole new level " said Ibrahim Barazi - Editor in Chief .

History

IB Magazine was founded by Ibrahim Barazi . Before the magazine was launched , it was only a group/blog in facebook that provides up to date news about human interest and celebrity news . Later on it was an idea to start a magazine called "gofigure" , a news-feed , small size magazine about all the latest happening in college . The idea shifted because according to a poll made people wanted the magazine in Arabic language ." We wanted to start go figure in english , to choose the right expressions , graphics , and headlines , but at last minutes "gofigure" was changed into "IB" and English changed to Arabic" .

When published on facebook , IB magazine suffered a lot of problems and obstacles . Facebook had the tool of picture gallery but you can't organize the pages . The magazine's pages were uploaded and browsed randomly in the facebook group .

Then IB decided to keep the facebook group but change the browsing program to a new site , now the magazine rely on Picasa - a google tool - to publish its pages . where you can organize , browse , caption , zoom , and slide show .
