During his playing career, he was as a defender forRadomiak Radom andAZS-AWF Warszawa . In 1994, he began his coaching career as a youth coach forLegia Warszawa . He managedSMS Piaseczno during the 1998-1999 season. From 1999 to 2003, he coached theAmica Wronki youth team and was successful in winning a league title in 2002. He also was an assistant toMiroslaw Jablonski while atWisla Plock . In May 2003,Pawel Janas appointed Skorża as a coach for thePolish National Football Team . He had a short spell atWisla Plock as an assistant manager before returning toAmica Wronki as manager in 2004. In the 2004-2005 season, Skorża became the first Polish coach to manage to qualify a Polishfootball club to the group stage of theUEFA Cup . In the 2006-2007 season, he joinedDyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski and won thePolish Cup andEkstraklasa Cup . On June 13 2007, Skorża was appointed as the manager ofWisła Kraków . During his first season as manager, he successfully managed to win theOrange Ekstraklasa .
