[https://www.jugend-forscht.de/index.php/article_press/detail/10693] ] , the German national science competition.Timo Stein attends the Marie-Curie-Oberschule in Berlin. He currently participates in research programs in several scientific and educational facilities including the Wilhelm-Foerster-Observatory in Berlin, Germany and the Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge, England. In addition to cosmology he also does research with
ferrofluid s. He works at the Helmholtz Centre Berlin for Materials and Energy (formerly known as Hahn-Meitner-Institute), where he developed his award winning Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation project “BECOME” (“Berlin Cosmic Microwave Experiment”). His work has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers including Stern [Stern: “Clever and Smart” (29.5.2008)] andDer Tagesspiegel [Der Tagesspiegel: "Kosmische Kerle" (26.5.2008) [http://www.tagesspiegel.de/berlin/Brandenburg;art128,2537858] ] .
