Mariano Javier Gomez (born September 12, 1982 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras) is a pitcher for the Minnesota Twins Triple-A affiliate Rochester Red Wings in the International League.

Gomez was signed by scout Les Pajari as a non-drafted free agent to the Cleveland Indians on July 2, 1999 after attending Instituto Technico, Honduras. He spent seven years in the Indians minor league system before being released in 2007

The Twins signed Gomez as a minor league free agent November 29. He pitched in four games for the Twins in spring training before being assigned to the Red Wings where he pitched in Triple-A for the first time in his career.

If Gomez makes the major leagues he will be the second Honduran (behind former Houston Astros outfielder Gerald Young) to make the majors.
