Scott "The Gator" Anderson (born June 9, 1969), also known as Doug Karsch's puppet, is an American radio personality from Cleveland, Ohio, who currently works for 97.1 The Ticket FM. He attended the Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan where he majored in telecommunications with a minor in agriculture.

Early life

Anderson moved from Cleveland to Chicago, eventually landing in the rough neighborhoods of West Bloomfield, Michigan. His radio career took off as a sophomore at Andover High School, where The Gator starred on WBFH 88.1 FM. The College Years

It has been mentioned, although not confirmed, on his radio show that Scott attended half of his classes at Michigan State University. While delving in telecommunications, The Gator found time to minor in agriculture as he enjoyed spending time studying the cow with the glass stomach. During his 8 years at Michigan State University, Anderson spent time broadcasting intramural athletics.He also pays tribute to Mother Teresa by forgoing any intimate contact with woman and reaffirms this on air.He also finds himself hiding the fact he is a closet U-M fan,to all but his partner Doug Karsh.

Scott Anderson joined The Ticket in February 1993 (then WXYT-AM), making his professional debut during the station's Lions broadcasts. He has had such positions with WXYT as the Lions pre-game and post-game host (1998-2000); Lions scoreboard and halftime host (2001-present); MSU football pre-game/halftime/post-game host (1998 and 1999); Detroit Red Wings pre-game/post-game host (2000-present); host of Inside Hockeytown (2000-present); Detroit Tigers pre-game/post-game host (2001) and fill in host (2001-present).

Currently, The Gator is a proud top and has admitted to being a catcher to Mike Valenti's pitcher on sweetest day in 2007. Anderson is known to bring his many impressions, including (Walley)Jim Leyland, John Keating, and Ricardo Montalbán to the show.
