- Skepplanda
Skepplanda is a small town situated in the
Ale Municipality near the west coast ofSweden . In the years 1960-1970, it grew from being a rural church village into a small town with mainly villas. A short industry epoch followed in the 70's, with the placement of floor tile industry. Nowadays, the inustry has been largely relocated to nearby towns, and the population lies at around 2 000.There are two main schools in Skepplanda, despite its small size and closeness to larger towns (Älvängen, about 4 kilometres away) The schools are:
Garnvindeskolan (the Garnvinde school) - preschool and school years 1 to 3 (built when?)
Alboskolan (the Albo school) - school years 4 to 6 (and some activities for the pupils and youth after school hours). This school was built in 1976.
Skepplanda is located about 35 kilometres away from the second largest city in
Sweden , calledGothenburg (Göteborg).
