Hands Up! (1926 film)

"Hands Up!" is a 1926 comedy film directed by Clarence Badger and co-written by Monte Brice and Lloyd Corrigan. The film starred Raymond Griffith, one of the great silent movie comedians.

It tells the story of Jack, a spy for the Confederacy during the Civil War, and his efforts to capture a Union shipment of gold. Obstacles along the way include a pair of sisters, hostile Indians, and a firing squad. The film features fictional incidents involving actual historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln, Brigham Young, and Sitting Bull.

The film was inducted into the United States National Film Registry in 2005.
