George Foley

George Foley

George James Foley (28 November 1872-27 October 1945) was an Australian politician from Western Australia. He was member for the Western Australian seat of Mount Leonora from 1911 until 1918, initially for the Labor party until 1917 when he joined the Nationalist Party. He was a gold miner before entering politics and become part-owner of the Grace Darling mine and Broad Arrow Mine. In 1920 he won the Federal Division of Kalgoorlie for the Nationalist Party. In his later life he became an auctioneer in Perth.
