The Tales of Rowan Hood are a series of books by Nancy Springer. The first book focuses on a young girl who dresses as a boy and goes to join Robin Hood's men, in part because her father is Robin Hood. The rest of the series keeps her as a big role.

Rowan Hood: Outlaw Girl of Sherwood Forest is the first book in the series "Rowan Hood". The book features a young girl named Rosemary, the daughter of Robin Hood and a healer. When her mother is killed and her house destroyed, she disguises herself as a boy and leaves to find her father. Along the way she meets a dog she names Tykell. She accidentally is spotted by the Guy of Gisborne who is enraged when she refuses to give her bow and arrows to him.
This book is the first of a series and was published in 2001 by Philomel Books, ISBN 978-0-399-23368-5.
