Thessaloniki metropolitan area and theThessaloniki prefecture next to the historic centre of Thessaloniki (Coordinates:N 40°37.340', E 22°58.360' or Ν 40.6223°, Ε 22.9726° Elevation: 70m). It is surrounded by theKaftanzoglio Stadium on south-west, the subdivision ofSaranta Ekklisies on north-west and the one ofAno Toumpa on east.
