Veerapandi S Arumugam

Veerapandi S Arumugam is the minister for agriculture in the current assembly of Tamil Nadu government, india. He was born in Poolavari, Salem, India on 26 january 1937. Thamaraikani assault

On 22 March 1999, a member of the assembly, Thamaraikani punched Arumugam on his nose during the debate on the State budget, causing bleeding injuries. In the melee that followed, Thamaraikani and one of his colleagues were escorted out of the House. The Assembly voted to suspend them for the rest of the session.
