The Pioneer Band of Allentown is a civilian concert band based in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Founded 1889, the band had previous been known as the First Ward Band and the Mingo Band.[cite web |url=http://www.pioneerband.com/pages/history.html |title=Pioneer Band: History |accessdate=2008-06-18] Today, the Pioneer Band performs a number of times each year in a number of venues, which include concerts at West Park and other locations throughout Allentown and the Lehigh Valley.
