"Pattanapravesham" is a 1988 superhit Malayalam movie starring Mohanlal and Sreenivasan. Scripted by Sreenivasan and directed by Sathyan Anthikkad, it represents popular Malayalam cinema at its best and established the Mohanlal-Sreenivasan combination .

Pattanapravesham is the sequel to the superhit movie "Nadodikkattu" which had the same lead characters Dasan and Vijayan which are portrayed by Mohanlal and Sreenivasan respectively. It is succeeded by the third in the series - "Akkare Akkare Akkare"
