Farr Associates is a sustainable architecture and urban planning firm founded in 1990 by Doug Farr. Located in the historic Monadnock Building in Chicago’s Loop, the firm’s projects cover all scales of planning—site, neighborhood, city and region—and architecture—institutional, commercial and residential—and fall into three interrelated areas: Sustainable Architecture, Town Planning & Urban Design and Historic Preservation.

Awards

The Chicago Center for Green Technology took home the American Institute of Architects Top Ten COTE Award, Chicago Building Congress Merit Award and ASHRAE Award. In 2007, three Farr Associates projects earned the AIA Chicago Excellence in Architecture [http://www.aiachicago.org/special_features/2007DEA/awards.asp?catID=5 Sustainable Building Award] .
