Rostislav Stratimirovic (Bulgarian: "Ростислав Стратимирович"; Russian: "Ростислав Страшимирович") belongs to the Bulgarian nobility from the 17th century. Prince of Tarnovo and descendant of the medieval Bulgarian Shishman dynasty, he is the leader of the Second Tarnovo Uprising of the Bulgarians against the Ottoman Empire in 1686.

In 1686 Rostislav Stratimirovic visited Moscow where he asked the Russian patriarch Yoakim for help about the rebellion he was preparing. The agreement was being guaranteed by the engagement between the Prince and the niece of the patriarch – Maria Dubrovska. During this time in the old Bulgarian capital - Tarnovo, the rebellion burst prematurely. Rostislav returned in Bulgaria, but the forces of the Ottoman Empire were much greater and the rebellion was suppressed. Heavily wounded Rostislav got to the Rila Monastery, where the monks saved his life. After many adventures he went back to Moscow, where he finally married Maria Dubrovska and gave the foundations of the Russian noble family Saveliev–Rostislavic. One of his descendants is the Russian writer Nikolay Saveliev–Rostislavic.
