University of South Carolina , majoring in computer programming. In the late 90's, he, Mitch James, and Brian Geiger started a band calledThe Nothing , later renamed Sugardaddy Sugarstar. Soon after, Sugardaddy Superstar began to record their own music in a studio (which the band called Sugarstar Studios) built in Sloan's home. The group was signed byColumbia Records and changed their name toCrossfade . They released "Crossfade" in 2004, and two years later, released another album called "Falling Away ".References
