He toured with Wales four times between 90 and 97 playing in a total of 12 games and won his first cap against Tonga in 1994 in Nukuʻalofa. His full international appearances were restricted to another two, against the US Eagles in San Francisco and Canada in Vancouver in 1997. He also represented Wales A against the touring Springbok and All Black sides, played for the Barbarians twice and was a replacement for a game with Argentina.
He retired from club rugby in 2001.
