The Broadstairs Dickens Players are an amateur dramatics theatre group local to Broadstairs in Kent, UK. The company was formed in 1937 and celebrated its seventieth anniversary in 2007 with a performance of the first play ever performed by the company, Pickwick Papers.They are noted for performing one of ten of the works of Charles Dickens as well as performing two other plays during the year. At present, the Dickens plays are directed by Philip Shaw and the other plays are directed by other actors within the company.

Famous connections

Two of the youngest actors presently cast are the children of a former television presenter Trevor Neal, part of the double act Trevor and Simon.
