Kristopher-Ryan Bissonnette

Kristopher-Ryan Bissonnette (born October 5 1990 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian racing driver. He currently races 4 stroke karts and is a test driver for the PDS Racing Team.

Early career

Kristopher-Ryan started karting at the age of 8, driving karts at rental kart tracks. After gaining much interest in the sport, he started to drive more often, practicing as often as possible. In 2005, at the age of 15, he entered in his first race in the Pepsi-Enduro Series at Karting St-Zotique, in St-Zotique, Quebec, Canada. He did well, finishing 9th out of 17 competitors, who most of them were over twice his age with much more experience. Later on, he took part in more races and gained more experience, all the while getting better finishes. At the end of 2005, along with his friend William Peters, they formed a team called the Canadian XRacers Karting Team, with John Peters as team principal.

As they competed in more races, they gained recognition and respect as they became very quick and were usual front runners. In early 2006, they added Shawn Dos Santos as their third driver, who would also prove to be quick. Their first win came in 2006 at the Grand Prix Enduro at Grand Prix Karting in Brossard, Quebec, Canada. They continued to progress, gaining many podium finishes participating in both endurance races and single driver races. Their hardest fought battles came from the Super Enduro 500 races held at Action 500 Karting in Montreal, where they would fight for the lead every race against Top Team. They have also competed at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and in the streets of Rosemont/La Petite Patrie, Montreal in endurance races. At the end of 2007, both William Peters and Shawn Dos Santos started their professional karting careers in the Coupe de Montréal. Kristopher-Ryan helps as assistant mechanic as well as test driver for the newly formed PDS Racing Team.

2008

For the 2008 season, Kristopher-Ryan is taking part in various karting series. He has competed in the Quebec Indoor Karting Championship, finishing 2nd in the championship points, held at Kart-O-Mania in Montreal. He also competed in the Coupe Souvenir Gilles Villeneuve, the Ligue De Karting Intérieur WKL, the Rennsport Reunion, the 24 Power Drink Enduro and the Pepsi-Enduro Series. He has recently joined KDM Racing and will be driving for them next year in the Honda Lite category in the Coupe de Montreal, the 4 Temps Senior category in the Vega Cup and Quebec Championship, as well as the Canada Senior category for the Canadian Nationals, although it is not confirmed if he will participate in the Canadian Nationals.
