tumor s,papilloma s, to develop over a period of time. Without treatment it is potentially fatal as uncontrolled growths could obstruct theairway .It is caused by HPV types 6 and 11, in which warts form on the larynx or other areas of the respiratory tract.
These warts can recur frequently, may require repetitive surgery, may interfere with breathing, and in extremely rare cases can progress to cancer.

*Tracheotomy : rerouting of air around the affected area.
