1922 Vallenar earthquake

The 1922 Vallenar earthquake was a magnitude 8.5 earthquake that occurred on the Chile-Argentina border in 1922. [Seismological Notes, Bulletin of the Seimological Society of America. Damage and deaths

The earthquake caused extensive damage, and a resulting 9 meter tsunami killed 100 people. The earthquake cost at the moment that it hit about 5-25 million U.S. dollars.
