James William Lewis (born
8 August 1946 ) is a convicted extortionist in relation to the1982 Tylenol scare . He sent a letter toJohnson & Johnson demanding $1 million to stop thecyanide -inducedmurder s. It was determined that he had nothing to do with the crimes as he and his wife were living inNew York City at the time. He served 13 years of a 20-year sentence and was released in1995 onparole .References
