Henry Ware was the inaugural
Bishop of Barrow-in-Furness from 1889 until his death in 1909. Born in 1830 and educated atTrinity College, Cambridge [“Who was Who” 1897-1990 London,A & C Black , 1991 ISBN 071363457X] , his first post afterOrdination was asFellow andTutor at his old college.
