Overview

Servigistics is a privately held software company that specializes in strategic service management solutions and is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with offices in Tokyo, the UK and India. Founded in 1999, Servigistics works with Fortune 1000 companies on a fully integrated approach to post-sale service to maximize customer loyalty, revenues and profitability.

History

Servigistics was founded in 1999 by Mike Landry with a vision of building a software solution which supported the post-sales service business. Landry founded the company with a Service Parts Management Solution which is the process of planning, forecasting and aligning service parts inventories, resource and processes to ensure optimal customer service levels with minimal risk and cost.

In 2004 Servigistics acquired Profit Science which extended the value of post sales service by offering market-adaptive pricing. The solution combines patented pricing methodologies, advanced optimization techniques and market adaptive business logic to the parts business.

TransDecisions was purchased in 2006 to continue the support of post-sales service adding extensive workforce and fleet management functionality to Servigistics Workforce Management solution.

Today, Servigistics strategic service management offering includes service parts management, workforce management, knowledge management and pricing solutions that operate together on a single data model to enable companies to transform their global service operations by dramatically increasing profitability, cash flow, and customer loyalty.

Over the last several years, leading players like SAP, ORACLE and others have entered the small, limited market once dominated by Servigistics. Recently, MCA and SAP have begun offering a joint product that features a high level of integration between SAP and MCA. ORACLE has purchased Demantra and now has a very competitive offering in a market that was once mostly Servigistics'. This has led to significant pricing pressures and raises the more serious issue of the valuation of firms in such a space.

Products

Servigistics' products focus on Strategic Service Management. The solutions include:

*Service Parts Management: planning, forecasting and aligning service parts inventories, resource and processes.
*Service Workforce Management: schedules and routes service technicians in real time, including optimal part location that considers part substitution, repair, replenishment, and procurement from third party, in technician inventory and drop shipped to customer locations.
*Service Pricing Management: software to help companies to increase revenue and maximize service profitability through the management and optimization of service parts prices.
*Command Center:allows companies to view the status of all service calls on a single screen.
*Knowledge Management:captures and reuses the know-how within the organization to automate the creation and maintenance of a knowledge repository

Partnerships

It is Servigistics philosophy to fully understand the strategic service management needs of its global client base, and work collaboratively with partners to deliver solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations. Servigistics maintains partnerships with independent software vendors (ISV), third party logistics providers (3PL), hosting/ASPs, resellers and systems integrators including: Accenture, Antenna, Barkawi, Entercoms, EXA, Google Maps, HP, IBM, Impetus, Informatica, Unisys, Oracle Corporation, SAP AG, Sopia, Vericenter.

ORACLE has now come out with its own product purchased from Demantra and has hired one of Servigistics' top execs to lead its efforts. SAP has teamed with SAP and they now offer a joint product that competes directly with Servigistics.
