Steve Georganas (
13 June ,1959 –),Australia n politician of theAustralian Labor Party , was elected to the House of Representatives as member for theDivision of Hindmarsh ,South Australia for the at the 2004 federal election replacing the retiring incumbent,Christine Gallus of theLiberal Party of Australia .Georganas was born in
Adelaide of Greek parents. He gained a Business Studies Certificate at aTAFE college and worked as an underwriter and in financial services.Georganas has been involved in numerous community organizations, including as president of his local lions club, and as a board member of the Adelaide Greek Festival "
