Other ships of BC Ferries (not classed)

A number of ships operated by BC Ferries are not classed. They are either purchased second hand from other operators or are customized vessels with no class assigned by the builders.

* M/V Howe Sound Queen (similar to Powell River class ferry)
* M/V Nimpkish - 1973
* M/V Mill Bay - 1956 (along with M/V Island Princess from Coast Ferries)
* M/V North Island Princess - 1958 ( Was named the Island Princess along with the MV Mill Bay)
* M/V Quadra Queen II - 1969
* M/V Queen of Prince Rupert - 1966
* M/V Queen of Chilliwack - Originally built at Framnæs shipyard and named the Bastø I.
* M/V Queen of New Westminster
* M/V Northern Adventure
* M/V Garibaldi II - Owned but does not run on BC Ferry routes

The Queen of Chilliwack and Northern Adventure are the only operating ferries built outside of Canada. These vessels were built in Norway and Greece, in 1978 and 2004.
