Angie Pontani

Angie Pontani (born Andrea Louisa Pontani in Trenton, New Jersey) is a burlesque dancer, choreographer, producer, and costumer based in Brooklyn, NY. In the early 1990s she began her show business career as a teenager in New York dancing in the Dutch Weismann Follies. Angie went on to launch The World Famous Pontani Sisters, a highly stylized and wildly costumed dance trio that helped to pioneer the burlesque revival. Angie choreographed, costumed, and booked the troupe’s performances, including tours and appearances on national television programs like Late Night with Conan O'Brien as well as Gossip Girl.

Angie was crowned Miss Cyclone in 2007 in honor of Coney Island's historic roller coaster. She is currently still the title holder and is very active in the fight to save Coney Island from rezoning that would jeopardize the amusement district. Most recently Angie was also crowned "The Reigning Queen of Burlesque, Miss Exotic World 2008" at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Reunion at The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. In New York City Angie is the co-producer and star of the Off Broadway hit This Is Burlesque at Corio Supper Club.

Other awards include,"The Best Body in Burlesque"-2007 New York Burlesque Festival, "#1 Burlesque Attraction in the Nation"-AOL.com
