- Green Tree Inn
GreenTree Inns Hotel Management Group Inc. is an American-funded budget hotel chain based in China, similar in style and organization to the United State's Hampton Inns. They have over 90 hotels opened currently, and have plans to have 480 opened by the end of year 2008. They believe that they will have contracts for the construction of over 1000 hotels under their brand name. The hotels themselves focus on low cost lodging with high quality service. Their hotels come in single rooms or suites and each room comes with complementary internet, air conditioning, and cable television. Like many luxury hotel chains, they also offer business center services as well as restaurants for their guests. Other amenities include laundry rooms, a complementary breakfast buffet, and medical kiosks. They are largely known in China for being a Western style budget hotel, notably because they are owned by American investors. The CEO of the company is Alex Xu, an alumnus of the University of Southern California, who came to China to build the company from his home in San Marino, CA.
