The major locations in are Moulali Kaman (arch) and mosques located on two hills. There is a popular legend among the residents that the place was ruled by two kings namely Moula and Ali hence the place named after them.
The major surroundings are ECIL,
Kushaiguda Bus depot. A big colony was established by the housing board society of Andhra Pradesh and named APHB colony.There are number of temples, churches and mosques in moulali. The mosque located near the kaman and the mosques loacted on the hill are of prominent importance. There are many temples in Moulali out of them temple of
Lord Venkateshwara located in mangapuram colony, kalasagiri and sai baba temple are major attractions.Commercial area
Moulali has lot of good shops in the area. Every saturday a vegetable market will be setup at Indira gandhi statue.

APSRTC , which ply on two routes covering most of the area. Kushaiguda bus depot is located very next to moulali.Its connected by Bus Routes (107v
Dilsukhnagar toSecunderabad , Route No. 3 which connects Koti -Tarnaka ,Moulali andHabsiguda ). Route no 17, 17h, 242, 281 all pass through moulali from Secunderabad. There is a railway station around 2 km from the center, it the first station encountered while travelling fromSecunderabad . It also has railway wagon repairing center. There is a training center for railway employees named ZTC (zonal traning center) very next to the main center.The closest MMTS Train station is at
