Les Rohr

Les Rohr was a baseball player for the New York Mets back in the late 1960s. He was born Leslie Norvan Rohr on March 5, 1946 in Lowestoft, England. Shortly after he was born he moved to Montana with his family.

During his baseball career, Rohr was 6'5" and 205 pounds. He was selected in the first round (second pick overall) of the free-agent draft. He was a left-handed pitcher for the team. He spent the remainder of the season on the disabled list or back in the minor leagues. Rohr was never able to recover and it was later discovered, during a physical right before his trade to the Milwaukee Brewers was finalized, that he had a ruptured disc in his lower back.
