Syed Barique Mahmood

Syed Barique Mahmood FRSA, (born in 1980, Dhaka, Bangladesh) is an entrepreneur, businessman and transatlantic lobbyist. He is the first Bangladeshi origin who is involved with professional lobbying in the United States Senate, United States House of Representatives and the European Parliament.

He operates his own businesses in both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. He is the founder and chief executive of SBM Group, a global management consultancy company. He is the co-founder and chief executive of UK based international charity organization Jahanara Foundation.

His professional career started as a psychologist. He was a writer and translator in his early life. He involved in numerous local national and international charitable and professional organization including American Psychological Association. He is one of the researchers of Global Development Network (GDN).

Syed received fellowship from Royal Society of Arts and Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain. He is a keen supporter of English National Ballet and Royal Academy of Dance.
