Australian and New Zealand Communications Association

The Australian and New Zealand Communication Association (ANZCA) is a professional association for teachers and researchers in the diverse disciplines of communication. The Association provides its members with a subscription to two of the best Australian journals. Media International Australia incorporating Culture and Policy and the Australian Journal of Communication, and it conducts an annual conference for presentation of refereed papers in all disciplines.

The origins of the association were in the 1968 committee of lecturers at the Adelaide Teachers College who formed a national association of Speech lecturers. The inaugural conference was held on 13-16 March, 1970 during the Adelaide Festival of Arts [ [http://www.anzca.net/dossier.htm ANZCA Dossier ] ] .
