Ali Faik Zaghloul

Ali Faik Zaghloul (Arabic: علي فايق زغلول; b. 3 March, 1924 - d. 13 October, 1995) was an Egyptian radio presenter. History

Zaghloul started working as an editor in the Egyptian Radio Magazine in 1947. Later, he joined program supervision at the Egyptian Radio and presented several programs such as Amateure Programs (برامج الهواة), What I Have Selected For You (اخترت لكم), Plane 727 (الطائرة 727), A Word In A News (كلمة في خبر), Our Programs On The Scale (برامجنا في الميزان), and Where Is The Wrong Thing (الغلط فين), which later became Varieties Theater (مسرح المنوعات). The Varieties Theater program lasted for 25 years and introduced many famous singers like Mohammed Al-Ezaby, Mohammed Roushdy, [ [http://arabi.ahram.org.eg/arabi/ahram/2005/4/30/ARTB4.HTM Popular Street Songs Belong to the Name of Roushdy (Arabic)] Last accessed 11 June 2008.] Maher El-Attar, Kamal Hosny, Amany Gado, and The Golden Band of the musician Salah Arram. He continued to present his program even after retirement age due to his success. He had two sons and one daughter. His eldest son, Zeyad, works as a radio director and the head of series department in Voice of the Arabs radio.
