There are 9 classes in each year with over 30 students in each class.
Crown Hills is a sports college and it has a large assortment of fields for sports, especially the football grounds called Goals.
In March and April 2001, a resistant strain of tuberculosis made 74 pupils and staff at the school ill and could be detected in another 220. In 2006, Dr Philip Monk, consultant in communicable diseases for Leicestershire, said the strain was particularly resistant to the body's immune system defenses.[1]
