December 23 ,1908 –November 24 ,2003 ) was an American amateurgolf er best known for winning theU.S. Amateur .Dunlap was born in
Arlington, New Jersey . His father was the co-founder of Grossett & Dunlap Publishers.Dunlap graduated from
