MyADSL

MyADSL.co.za or MyBroadband.co.za is an online group (based around an Internet forum), providing South African Internet users with a central vantage point for information on the relatively new introduction of broadband services in the country. It has over the last couple of yearswhen|date=September 2008 become a major source of information on many computing disciplines related to the Internet and its various uses ranging from gaming, VoIP and more. MyADSL currently has over 30,000 membersfact|date=September 2008, which is a significant achievement, considering there are only 400,000 ADSL subscribers in South Africafact|date=September 2008, out of a total population of 47 million.

One of the main objectives of MyADSL is to change the current South African broadband landscape, focusing particularly on ADSLfact|date=September 2008, which is dominatedfact|date=September 2008 by the state-controlled monopoly Telkom. One major achievement is that Telkom is, apparently, beginning to recognise MyADSL and has met with the forum leaders and discussed the problems the broadband community faces.fact|date=September 2008

Broadband Ratings Reports

myADSL Meetings and Conferences

The MyADSL homepage provides technology and telecommunication news for South Africa in general, and has become a popular source of information, and is included in the Google News searches.
