Lauri Tähkä, (real name Jarkko Suo [ [http://www.iltasanomat.fi/viihde/uutinen.asp?id=1303229 Lauri Tähkä erosi vaimostaan - Viihde - Ilta-Sanomat ] ] , born March 9 1973 in Vaasa, Finland) is a major Finnish musician, recording artist, and leading figure in the band Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu. As a youth he listened to Kiss, Iron Maiden, the Finnish band Eppu Normaali, the works of Ismo Alanko as well as Kauko Röyhkä. Lauri Tähkä found his identity in a cross between rock and national balads. With his cousin Simo Ralli he created ”Niin kauan minä tramppaan” (So far we have trekked), which won the "Lapuan Spelit" competition.

Tähkä has been married to Mia Suo and they have 2 daughters.

The Elonkerjuu band's home base is Teuva, Finland.
