Dominic Schaner

Dominic Schaner, currently living with his father Peter in Southern California, is investigating the revival of Lute playing.

At age 23, he has translated many manuscripts that were written in the 1500s into English. He is now a member of the [http://www.earlymusic.org/ Early Music America Society] , and he plays the Lute (an instrument that was once more popular than the piano, but now is almost lost) to the accompiament of singers, or solo.

Early life

He grew up on an avacado ranch in Southern California. His parents went to farmers markets, sold produce, and made a reasonable living. In this peaceful and rural life, Dominic played guitar, but soon discovered his zeal for Lute. Self taught, he now plays in increasingly more well known orchestras and solo concerts.
