Mirac

Mirac or Miraz is a settlement in Montenegro, three miles from Kotor.

History

Early 17th century

Montenegro was part of the Ottoman Empire, in the Sanjak of Scutari.

It was together with Njeguši and Calazi commanded by Niko Rajcov, a nobleman of the Serb Njeguši clan. It had 480 men in arms. It was considered the borderland of Kotor, empowered by the Serb kings. The town was in dispute with neighbouring town Spiljari over property and land.
